This pretty much sums up what happened.
Less than 1 month after being acquired by a larger company, everyone except the sales team and sales support was laid off. It was quite a week after this surprising, yet not completely unexpected event occurred. Good news? Only one person had to be escorted from the building. So here I am, 6 months pregnant, my husband is still in Australia, and I am out of a job. No one is going to hire me knowing I will take maternity leave soon, so I am out until after little Beiber arrives. Ironically, while we were discussing corporate holiday cards at work a few weeks ago, one of the graphic designers (who is amazingly hilarious and has promised to do a guest post) came up with this:We decided to go in another direction, but now it kind of seems appropriate.
On the bright side, I am looking forward to an extended stay at home in Nashville this holiday and will be traveling with my husband on a few of his business trips until I can't fly anymore, then it's all about nesting.

Meredith- I am laughing and sad all at once. I hate the way this way all handled. Will tell you that someone will hire you. Can you head to Australia and live with your hubby? Cassie
I'll get to see him next week!
